Privacy policy

Last updated: 6 November 2026

Short version: CozyRings has no accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or follow you across sites. We don't sell or share your personal information. The things your browser remembers for our tools stay on your device. We only get personal information if you choose to email us, for example to join the Creator Spotlight.

Who we are

This website is run by [your full name or company name, and city / country], who is the "controller" of any personal information described here. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect, why, and for how long

InformationWhy we use itLegal basis (EU/UK)How long we keep it
Technical data your browser sends to our host (IP address, browser type, pages requested)To deliver the site and protect it from abuseLegitimate interest in running a safe websiteKept by the host in short-lived server logs (usually days to a few weeks)
Visit statistics (page visited, the site you came from, country, device and browser type, load time), collected by Cloudflare Web Analytics without cookiesTo see how many people visit and which pages help them, so we can improve the siteLegitimate interest in understanding how the site is usedShown to us only as totals; Cloudflare keeps the raw data for a limited time
Emails you send us (your email address, name, and what you write)To answer youLegitimate interest in replying; or steps you asked forUntil the conversation ends, then deleted within 12 months
Creator Spotlight request (channel name, link, platform, a short line about you)To review your content and, if you agree, show it on the Spotlight pageYour consent, which you can withdraw at any timeWhile you are featured, and up to 30 days after you ask us to remove it

We don't use your information for advertising, profiling or automated decisions, and we never sell it.

What stays on your device

Some tools remember your choices in your browser's local storage, so they're still there next time: your Creator Academy progress, your idea board, your asset and music preferences, your Dev Treasury checklist, whether you've seen the tutorial, your accessibility settings, and whether you chose to show video previews. This is needed for the features you use, never leaves your device, and we can't see it. You can delete it anytime by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Chatting with Bit: Bit, our helper, answers from files that live on this website and runs entirely in your browser. What you type is not sent to us or to anyone else. During a chat Bit remembers a few things in your open tab only (like your last question, so follow-ups work, and your name if you tell him); all of it disappears when you close or reload the page.

Daily spark: which days you marked the spark as done (for your streak) is saved only in your own browser (local storage). We never receive it, and you can remove it by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Dev diary: your diary entries and goals are saved only in your own browser (local storage). We never receive them. "Download backup" creates a file on your device; nothing is uploaded.

Installing the app / offline use: if you install CozyRings as an app, your browser keeps a copy of this website's files on your device so it opens without internet. It only stores our site's files, not anything about you.

We don't use cookies for tracking, advertising or analytics, so there is no cookie banner. Our visit counter (Cloudflare Web Analytics) works without cookies, without fingerprinting, and doesn't follow you to other websites.

Hosting and email

The site is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare Web Analytics) and our email is handled by Google (Gmail). These providers may process data outside your country (for example in the United States). Where EU/UK data leaves the EU/UK, they rely on approved safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. The fonts are served from our own site, not from Google.

Third-party content (only when you ask for it)

  • YouTube (Dev Campfire, Dev Treasury): video previews are hidden until you press "Show previews". After that, preview images load from YouTube's servers (i.ytimg.com), which receive your IP address. A video only plays when you press play; it then loads from youtube-nocookie.com. Google's privacy policy applies.
  • Google Drive (Juice Lab videos): works the same way: previews load from Google Drive only after you press "Show previews", and a video loads from Google Drive only when you press play. Google's privacy policy applies.
  • Discord: if you join our community through the Discord link, Discord's privacy policy applies.
  • Other links: we link to many other websites (engines, grants, articles, creators' channels). We don't control them and their own policies apply.

Creator Spotlight

If you email us to join the Creator Spotlight, we use what you send to watch your content and decide whether to feature it. We only publish your public channel name, a link to your content and a short line about it, and only after you agree. You can ask us to change or remove your entry at any time, and we'll do it within 30 days (usually much sooner). We don't publish your email address.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to give you a copy, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can object to how we use it or withdraw your consent. Write to [email protected]. We'll answer within 30 days, free of charge. We may ask you to confirm that the request is really from you.

Extra information by region

  • Israel: we follow the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, including Amendment 13. You may also contact the Privacy Protection Authority.
  • European Union, EEA and Switzerland (GDPR): the legal bases are listed in the table above. You also have the right to data portability and to restrict processing, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
  • United Kingdom (UK GDPR): the same rights apply. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
  • United States, including California and other states with privacy laws: we do not sell or share personal information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising or profiling. You have the right to know, correct and delete your information, and we won't treat you differently for using these rights. Because we don't track you, "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals need no extra action; we respect them by default.
  • Other countries: you have the same rights described above, and any additional rights your local law gives you.

Children

The site is for game creators of all ages, and the tools don't ask anyone for personal information. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU, or the age your country sets). If you are younger than that, please ask a parent or guardian before emailing us or joining outside communities such as Discord. If we learn that we received information from a child without that permission, we'll delete it.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS and doesn't store visitor data on our servers. Emails are kept in a password-protected account with two-step verification. If a data breach ever affects you, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Changes

If we add features that collect information (for example accounts or a newsletter), we will update this policy before they go live and show the new date at the top.
